We’re thrilled to share that Frana Companies has been ranked #393 on Engineering News‑Record’s 2024 Top 400 Contractors list. This prestigious list recognizes the highest-performing general contractors in the United States based on revenue. Being named among the nation’s top contractors reflects the strength of our team, our commitment to quality, and our ability to navigate a changing construction landscape.

Building through uncertainty, ENR’s May 2025 report titled “Proceeding with Caution” highlights that while 2024 was a strong year for many construction firms for reaching a record $600.6 billion in total revenue, contractors continue to operate amid economic uncertainty. Top firms, including Frana, are facing challenges such as labor shortages that impact project timelines and productivity, tariffs, and material price volatility which add unpredictability to procurement, and fluctuating interest rates alongside shifting consumer confidence. Despite these obstacles, contractors reported solid growth, with 64.8% of firms increasing revenue compared to the prior year.

Shifting markets and strategic planning are key focuses as contractors adapt by emphasizing early-stage planning and cost controls. Investment in preconstruction has become critical, with firms using budgeting and forecasting strategies earlier in the process to reduce financial risk and delays. There is also a rising domestic focus, as international markets saw a 5.1% drop, that leans into domestic growth and infrastructure opportunities. Sector resilience is evident as building construction made up the largest market share at 47.1%, followed by manufacturing, telecom, and transportation. Many of which are seeing renewed investment thanks to federal infrastructure initiatives.

At Frana Companies, our strength lies in our people and our partnerships. Being listed on ENR’s Top 400 is a direct result of our commitment to excellence, especially in the face of complex market conditions. We have continued to deliver high-quality work that meets client goals and adapts to evolving project requirements, support our workforce recognizing that labor remains one of the most valuable assets in today’s environment, and collaborate across teams to streamline communication, improve workflows, and build smarter—not just bigger.

This recognition is a team effort that we share with our employees, who bring skill, heart, and hustle to every job site; our trusted trade partners, who help us navigate supply chain and pricing pressures; and our clients, who continue to put their trust in our work.

Looking ahead, the construction industry continues to evolve, and so will we. With our eyes on future opportunities and our foundation rooted in integrity, Frana is ready to face the next chapter of growth with resilience and purpose. Thanks for being part of our story and here’s to building what’s next.
